"NOW YOU SEE ME" - The Secret Cult Kings of Trading

Hello Friends,
I have been trading for a long time without success, recently developed a new strategy & it works like a charm but I am still in loss, dnt seem to pinpoint where I am going wrong, its been a long hard working painful journey, I gave away my entire professional Life & sort of personal life too so I dnt want to quit it now when I am so near to achieve my life's only goal of being a professional trader.

Now lets come to this thread:
I truly believe that the strategy I am following is being followed by THE BIG BOYS(The Kings) of trading, I can see it from my eyes & feel it in successful trades, what I have found that Best Traders hunt in packs & take the same trades, they might be using different strategies but they definitely work on same level of collective Brain frequency.
In this thread i'l be posting my live trades in the hope that one of The Big Boys(TopGun, The King) might see me struggling with the right system but lacking a little bit so will have some sort of sympathy towards me & will pick me up & fine tune my silly mistakes & welcome me in the club just like in the movie..... "NOW YOU SEE ME"
I can be very useful for him/her as an assistant which will reduce his/her workload a little bit.
Will start it from today a new Month which is coincidentally my birthday Month.
Thanks.

Now wanted to try my hands on day trading.

From my friends and by surfing net, I found that Traderji is a reliable source and have lots of good fellow traders who are willing to teach newbies.

And here I am. Expecting guidance from my fellow traders.

Thanks & Regards,

5000 shares of Andhra cement

I am planning to do intraday by buying around 5000 shares of andhra cement with a difference of 20 paise , becuase normally there is variation of only 20 paisa .

How practical is it ?

Because there was a time when i tried to buy 200 shares and got only 1 :p (I always buy in limit price and not in market price)

Also with a brokerage of 0.1% in edelweiss , will i make profit ?

IT - Desperate for a Brexit Bonus

The IT services sector hasn't been doing well for some time now. And there's a whole host of reasons for this.

Customers aren't blind to the 30% plus margins reported by these companies over the years. And these companies got huge tax breaks, concessional allocations of land, and a favorable exchange rate environment for decades - which they took advantage off, without investing to protect themselves for the future.

Till recently, these companies had high attrition rates, and kept talking as if the attrition was a big problem. But the reality was that the attrition was a god send for these companies - helping them replace high cost workers with low cost workers! With the entire industry in the grip of a slowdown, there aren't too many jobs to be had, and with even startups no longer having the luxury to hire, these IT giants have found their attrition rates falling!

And now they are seeing all the flaws of their business model till date. When people kept quitting, and when companies could hire freshers in the tens of thousands, their costs kept going low. Now despite lower wage hikes, they are seeing costs go up! And this is beginning to hurt them.

Very soon we will see the ugly side of the situation, with pink slips handed out to many more employees. And the more the pink slips, the worse the problem gets, because natural attrition slows down even more! And companies simply cannot fire as many workers as they would really like to, without dramatically affecting morale.

At a time when companies are moving towards more automation, and more efficient coding practices, this is not helping them at all.

But as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, and IT services companies could see a windfall very shortly, from an unforeseen source. Till date, Brexit has been viewed as a negative for IT companies - but the reality is that every single bank and every single trading company will need significant alterations in their systems to handle Brexit. It increasingly looks like Brexit will be handled as a special case, with Britain and the EU agreeing to create a structure that is neither like the past, nor like any other country. Because of this, there may be big changes needed in systems. However, the specifics of this will only be known when the contours of the deal between Britain and the EU become clear.

If this fails to materialize as a source of revenue, IT services companies in India will feel the pinch big time. They will regret not focussing more on products and other revenues that have non-linear relationship to the number of employees.

Tamil Nadu has already allowed IT company employees to form unions - and this sort of thing typically happens as a wave - with others expected to follow suit shortly. This will make the situation even worse for IT.

This could be one sector that could be a drag on the markets. Thankfully, valuations are not too high, so they may not really fall too sharply.

Reliance Industries - Big Brother on the move

For 30 years from 1978 to 2008, Reliance was the darling of the Indian Stock markets. No institutional or retail investor portfolio would be complete without this stock - in fact, most portfolios probably had only this stock!

But from 2009 to 2016, Reliance shares, to put it mildly, languished. And predictably, Indian markets also were on a slow road to nowhere. But it's not as if Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Industries were sleeping. On the contrary, Reliance embarked on the largest capex program ever undertaken by any corporate anywhere in the world!

Between Reliance Industries own shale, exploration and petrochemical projects, plus investments in Reliance Retail and Reliance Jio, plus other investments in Reliance Industrial Infrastructure, Reliance Life Sciences, etc, Reliance Industries expanded their capex program into a mammoth $100 Billion over the last 10 years. When you look at the net debt of $13B today, and get spooked, just remember the context. At the end of such a massive capex program, net debt of $13B is not such a big deal - especially not for a company that is expected to generate $13B in cash profits EVERY YEAR, in 3 years time!

Reliance has reached a point where no one outside the company even understands the company anymore. Unless you are privy to the strategies and the positioning, you simply cannot understand what's going on. Analysts who are conditioned to think quarter to quarter simply aren't capable of understanding a company that thinks in decades, and in orders of magnitude beyond what any other company can even contemplate. Even the large Japanese and Korean conglomerates pale in comparison to the game Reliance is playing today.

When you can't understand things, you have just 2 choices - either accept things on blind faith, or stay away. Till today, people were better off staying away. But now, the capex program is coming to an end. The company that worked hard in the long winter is now positioned to reap the harvest. And this harvest is going to be bountiful. It's now time for blind faith.

Best course for trader development

Which is the best course for trader development ? NSE has too many useful courses. Are they sufficient ? Among them which are most useful ones ? Is there any better courses than that ?
Could anyone help me in this regard ? I want to improve my trading by gaining some knowledge.
Is the trading coaches are more helpful than NSE courses ? If so, could anyone give me the contact details of some of those great trading coaches ?

Modified Strategy to earn 15%-20% a month (Strategy inspired by Linkon7's strategy)

First off - It's been a very long journey for me here on TJ, though I've not posted much. My experiments with F&O started back in 2010 and I've probably made every mistake more than once prior to discovering that the only way to make money is to have hedges on anything one trades - as the pros say "Naked punting is for idiots". Tried many hedging strategies with limited success. Sometimes the returns were too low 3% a month and sometimes even with hedging there was a loss. And after many years I stumbled upon Linkon7's strategy (http://ift.tt/2bDG6qq)

I've slightly further engineered the strategy to suit my mental make-up and I wanted to share it with everyone.

As you know (Anyone who has followed Linkon7's strategy given in the link above) the basic premise of the strategy is to short a straddle and cover the losing leg with NF there by nullifying the opposite movement and at best making even more profit by converting the strategy into a directional strategy.

I faced 2 challenges with this strategy and those were.

1. NF inherently increases the turnover value of trades too much resulting in too high taxes, especially when you trade multiple lots.

2. Gap up/gap down still hounded me so I need to find a solution , a hedge within a hedge if you will.

So this is what I did :

1: Short next month ITM straddle and receive 275-300 points in premium. As you will notice premiums have shrunken over past 5-6 years as our F&O market is slightly more matured so excesses in the system are getting eroded slowly. So my target is to short a straddle that gives a combined premium of at-least 300 points with the target of keeping at-least 250 points (15% profit) and if I am lucky I make more, as will be explained further.

2 : Consider the 8600 SEP straddle shorted last week, premium received approximately 320 points.

3. Here is my 1st change : Instead of using NF as the directional instrument, I buy deep ITM call or put. In this case either 8500 CE or 8700 PE. So below 8600 NF, I buy 8700 PE and above 8600 NF I buy 8500 CE. To get a delta slightly more than 1, I buy in multiple of 2 lots. So if I write 1 lot of 8600 CE and 1 lot of 8600 PE, then in the directional leg I buy 2 lots of PE or CE. This is a strictly intra-day management of the straddle to start with, and if there is enough profit on the CE or PE by end of day, I hold it. My only target is to at-least neutralize the losing leg there by keeping the premium received. Since VIX is key , it has almost a neutralizing effect on straddle and the directional option - so VIX risk is taken care of. Since it is also a deep ITM option I get atleast 0.5 - 0.6 delta. 2 lots means my directional strategy earns more than the loss on that leg.

4. Now there is still the gap up , gap down issue. For this (only if there is decent profit on the intra day option) I buy hedge on the intra-day option if I wanted to carry it overnight. So if I bought 8700 PE and that is showing a profit of 20% and I feel market will still go down more, then I hedge it by buying 8800 CE as insurance. In case market gaps up against me, I still get a decent exit and my original premium is still with me.

So point 3 and point 4 are the changes I've made to this strategy in the interest of paying less taxes (as might be in case of NF) and to have a hedge over the directional leg. Sometimes I buy 3 even 4 lots multiples of the intra day directional strategy.

It has so far delivered a minimum of 15% returns and if market is trending a lot (like it did in july) returns can easily be 20%-25%.

I'm sure there is a weak-link in this strategy as there is in every strategy and that weak link is buying deep ITM options instead of NF. This means I cannot hold the options for too long , not more than 3 days ideally. So I need to keep taking fresh positions every 2- 3 days to protect the straddle.

Would love to have someone critique this.

Cheers,
TJ

Data Importing Troubles

Dear all,
I have a database with about 3000 symbols reporting daily quotation Jan 2000 - today.

When I import it in Amibroker by 'File/Import ASCII' it happens that about the 50% of files are not imported correctly and I receive the following error when I try to plot a graphic: 'not enough data available'.

If I delete all the symbols imported (both well and bad imported) and start again with 'File/import ASCII', the symbols missing are less but still present (about 10% not properly imported). Usually in the third attempt I manage to properly import all the files.

I have a not registered version and I need, for each working session, to import the database, so this problem annoys me very much.

tks for your Help

How to set bar time?

Came across this site investing.com which provides real time charts. But bar times are little different then I would prefer. Does anyone knows how to fix that?

Hourly bar open/close time is like 8:30, 9:30, 10:30... How to set this to 9:00, 10:00, 11:00...

I have set local time zone, tried set that Exchange time and tried other time zones, still the first bar ends in 15 minutes (I mean first bar start 09:15 and ends @ 09:30 local time).

Coal India - Black Diamond

In 2014, India was the largest importer of Coal in the world. Production inefficiency, unavailability of rakes, etc lowered the levels of production significantly.

Its just been 2 years, and today, India is looking to export coal - a transformation that has dramatically shaken up the coal industry.

Over 40% of the costs of Coal India go towards Man power, but with the retirement of a large portion of its workforce over the last 3 years, and the fact that these workers were replaced by younger, lower salary workers, plus a lot of mechanization means that productivity per worker for Coal India is expected to DOUBLE within the next 18 months. This is a sort of transformation one usually expects from a small nimble company operating in sectors like IT, etc - not from a Public Sector behemoth operating in commodity space!

For a long time, there was the overhang of SEBI's requirement to have maximum 75% government ownership in any PSU. This meant that there would need to be stake sales by the government to lower its stake in Coal India from the current almost 80%. However, Coal India and the Government managed to work around this overhang in a very innovative way. Coal India announced a buy back of shares amounting to 1.7% of shares outstanding at a price of Rs 335/share. At that price, it makes zero sense for investors to participate in the buyback, so it is almost entirely available to the government.

Considering the huge dividend payouts by Coal India, it actually makes sense for them to buyback the shares and extinguish them, rather than keep the shares around!

The scale of transformation is actually way beyond the imagination and knowledge of the markets. Coal India is embarking on massive CSR programs to rejuvenate the massive amounts of land it possesses that have been damaged by mining. Techniques like Hydroponic agriculture allow them to get value from this damaged land, plus also generate employment for the large numbers of ex-employees and their families. This is becoming a powerful way to lower their overall wage costs, while repairing environment damage, and using its CSR obligations in a powerful way!

In an environment of falling interest rates, the high dividend yield from Coal India makes it an especially attractive stock. Very soon, Coal India will also be in a position to leverage technologies like Clean Coal to make coal more attractive as a source of energy that doesnt damage the environment.

Tata Motors - biggest winner from GST, Brexit

The passage of GST means free flow of goods from any part of the country to any other part of the country. Trucks will no longer have to stop for hours together to get a permit, and can actually be driven for 15-16 hours a day.

The typical truck in India is driven only for 8-10 hours a day, and the remaining time it is stuck for various issues - maintenance, break down, and the notorious delays at state borders and check points for getting "clearance".

This means that there has been a tremendous disincentive to actually upgrade trucks in India. If a truck is not going to run much anyway, why would you want to pay the capital costs of changing that to a new truck?

In fact, most of the trucks that are on the highways today would be hardpressed to be operated for 15-16 hours!

Once GST comes in, we could see shifts in behavior, with 2 drivers in a truck, and some trucks even being operated without much breaks for 20-22 hours a day! The speed to market and the flexibility that this allows will more than pay for the cost of the additional driver.

Tata Motors, being the largest player in the Commercial Vehicles segment will see the biggest boost to demand from this change in behavior.

The passenger vehicles division of Tata Motors will also benefit because of lower excise duty. Tata Motors is the largest seller of small diesel cars in India, and they will be the biggest beneficiary of the drop in Excise duty. This will allow them to make the switch to clean diesel engines without increasing cost of the vehicle, thus solving the environmental impact issue as well.

The best part is, the stars seem to be aligning for Tata Motors in a powerful way. Brexit was initially seen as a major negative for the JLR division of Tata Motors, but gradually opinion is shifting that this could be a major positive for Tata Motors.

Tatas will benefit out of Pound Depreciation, which will allow them to sell British manufactured cars cheaper in other countries. Secondly, initially people thought that JLR would lose access to Europe, and therefore lose its biggest market. As it turns around, European car makers sell FIVE times as many luxury cars in Britain, as JLR sells WORLDWIDE! So if there is any loss of market access, it will actually hurt European car makers more! JLR might see better domestic sales within the UK, as Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini and other luxury brands in Europe find it tougher to sell in the UK! It is highly unlikely that Europe will shoot itself in the foot and deny access to JLR, because if they do, UK will also deny access to European car makers into Britain!

JLR turnaround has more or less completed, and it has been seeing phenomenal sales increases. What started with the Landrover Evoque has continued into other models.

In coming years, Tatas will also benefit from JLR quality percolating to other parts of the company, as well as frugal engineering pioneered by Tatas helping JLR lower costs. These are powerful drivers to make Tata Motors into a multi-bagger.

Tata Motors is available at just over 10x PE Ratio if you buy the DVR shares, which also have a better dividend. Considering that Tatas are the only player to operate in Commercial and Passenger segments, they are positioned to benefit the most from the current scenario.

Help me to choose a good broker for a novice scalp trader

Hi all,

It's good to be here among the professional traders, investors and finance enthusiasts.

I'm a novice trader. I just started learning about trading like 2 months ago and after few weeks of paper trading I started to trade with real money. I'm a scalp trader and started with capital of Rs. 25K and my current broker is Sharekhan.

I am just trading in commodity right now and will start trading in equity soon. After doing few trades I realised that a big part of my booked profit is going to my broker and I was getting peanuts in each trade and since then I had to be too careful doing any scalp trades.

Somehow I managed to add 3.5K to my initial capital in last 3 weeks but I feel that I could get more profit with discount brokers.

Can anyone suggest me a good broker for me ?

I've heard and read a lot about Zerodha and I read about some unlimited plans of other brokers too. I'm still confused. That is why I'm here to know you suggestions and get your guidance.

Thank you

I don't expect windfall everyday.

Hi I'm Yogeeswar,
I have a three year trading experience, although my trading became profitable last year. I am basically an options trader. I love grinding/scarping profits, though I have one or two windfalls in a month.

Help Needed in AFL Amibroker

Hi everyone, I am writing a code on Amibroker AFL and I got stuck . It looks simple but somehow I couldn’t solve it. Actually I want to draw Closing Price line on my intraday charts. It’s very easy to draw high and low, you can write,

>> Plot (LastValue(TimeFrameGetPrice("High", inDaily, -1)), "Prev H", colorGreen);

but closing price is different from the intraday last price and has to be taken from a "different" sheet (like Bhavcopy). Does somebody know how to draw closing price on intraday charts?

I am thinking like this. Let's say I track 25 stocks on intraday basis. For each stock the AFL code should take the Closing price from Bhavcopy, and draw it on the chart. Since closing price is different for each stock, the AFL has to communicate with Bhavcopy each of the 25 times, and require some programming skills. Can anyone help me here or some is there any better method available? Thank in advance

A Strong Rupee Policy

With monsoons having been more than generous, one of the biggest factors in rising inflation - food prices - will hopefully be under control.

There are 2 main factors that the RBI needs to be on the lookout for.

One is rising demand - with the seventh pay commission and better prospects for rural economy, this is going to be a big factor - however, because capacity utilization rates are well below peak levels, one can expect that even the enhanced demand will not result in price increases, because there is ample scope for raising production within existing capacity.

The other factor is of course imports - oil imports in particular, and other commodities, high tech products, etc as well. So far, India has pursued a policy of allowing the Rupee to weaken to help its exporters - because that is the easiest way to get precious foreign exchange into the country.

However, in the current context, global demand is quite subdued. Even if we allow Rupee to weaken, it will not really help us generate additional demand. The last 3 years have been a clear example - despite a dramatic depreciation of the Rupee in 2013, IT and textile exporters haven't really benefitted.

On the other hand, in the period from mid 2013 to mid 2014, India had a serious inflation shock, because crude prices were quite high, and the weak rupee made our import bill much larger.

And quite unfortunately, weakening the Rupee to help exporters has actually destroyed the competitiveness of our exporters - whether IT or textiles or jewelry or wherever, we haven't really upped our game to be able to compete effectively at the highest levels. The easy money from the weak rupee has actually damaged our exporters in multiple ways. It is quite criminal that the IT industry is now in a mess, with offer letters being withdrawn, pink slips being issued, etc. Instead of helping the IT industry and other exporters, we have actually destroyed these businesses!

Thankfully, it is not too late - and it is quite possible for us to reverse our weak Rupee policy and instead change it to a strong rupee policy. Let us support our exporters to actually become competitive, instead of giving them crutches that only make them weaker.

A strong rupee policy will dramatically increase the flow of portfolio and non-portfolio investments into India, and will augment our FX reserves in a faster way than is possible by just relying on exporters. It will allow us to kickstart Manufacturing in India for domestic consumption, providing jobs to the lesser educated folks. It will allow us to lower inflation rates, and therefore also lower interest rates.

But most importantly, it is high time we recognize that Purchasing Power Parity actually works against us. There is zero point in saying that we are a rich country in PPP terms. We are only selling ourselves short to the world with this approach. And it makes it tougher for us to face the world. Our tourists find everything more expensive overseas because of PPP. Our companies cannot acquire overseas assets because of PPP. Our athletes find it tough to train or participate overseas because even ordinary things are too expensive.

I hope with the change of guard at the RBI, Urjit Patel will usher in a dramatic transformation in policy. This is the best way to bring about low inflation and high growth as well. As for exporters, well, they better learn to compete without the crutch of a weak rupee!

A Strong Rupee Policy

Sun Pharma - Gleevec ends, now Glumetza

On Feb 1st, Sun Pharma launched Gleevec generic in the US - and the 180 day exclusivity period garnered something like $400m in revenues and $300m in profits for Sun Pharma.

That exclusivity period ended on 1st August - and the market has assumed that Gleevec will no longer contribute to Sun Pharma! The reality however, is that while Gleevec price may fall because of greater competition post exclusivity end, more people will shift to generic version. Plus Sun Pharma has a huge margin on the generic, so it is well positioned to lower prices aggressively and capture greater market share. I expect that the actual profits for Sun Pharma from Gleevec will continue at a $150m per quarter run rate.

But Gleevec is not the real story. Literally a day after Gleevec exclusivity ended, the FDA approved Sun Pharma's application for Glumetza. Diabetes is a much bigger market than leukemia, so it is likely that even if there is some slack in Gleevec, it will more than be offset by Glumetza.

Sun Pharma is also in advanced stages of sorting out the issues at Halol, and they should get approval from FDA any time in next couple of months.

This is India's largest pharma company, and is well positioned in US as well as other international markets also. They have a fantastic R&D pipeline, and their success with Gleevec and Glumetza will allow them to augment research dollars, which bodes well for the future.

They have also more or less completed the integration of Ranbaxy, and will reap the benefits of this in a big way going forward.

All said, current weakness in Sun Pharma gives an excellent opportunity to accumulate the stock at a reasonable multiple. Being a defensive play, Pharmaceuticals are good additions to the portfolio if you expect market volatility.

It is also likely that attempts by the US to lower costs of medical care, and to restructure Obamacare will make the playing field more friendly for generics. In any case, this is going to happen one way or the other, and being the largest company in India and the 5th largest in the world, and operating in all important geographies, Sun Pharma is the obvious choice to participate in this space.

Coming soon - mega bull market in India!!

In October 2003, the Resurgent India Bonds matured. And approximately $2 Billion USD was returned to investors. These were investors who invested in these bonds to bail India out of a crisis when sanctions were imposed post Pokhran-2 nuclear tests.

Obviously, these investors who were ready to put in money when India was in trouble, were more than happy to keep that money in India, predominantly in equities. And from October 2003 to April 2004, there was a stunning rally in Indian equities, with markets almost doubling in 6 months!

The situation was very much like today - there were a lot of announcements, like Golden Quadrilateral, etc - but nothing concrete had happened in terms of actual progress.

In 2013, July and August, there were severe gyrations in the FX Markets, with rupee falling to 68/$ before recovering. To shore up the Rupee, the RBI relaxed restrictions on FCNR deposits, and raised a whopping $30 Billion in deposits.

These deposits were for 3 year maturity - and will be maturing over the next couple of months. And in very much the same way as 1998, these people also have shown the willingness to put in money in 2013 - when the situation in India was probably the worst in a long time.

Do you think these people will take their money back and park it overseas?

Or do you think they will keep it in India, recognizing that there is a lot of reforms, lot of real action happening in India?

If they are going to invest this money in India, is it going into real estate, or bonds or stock market? Considering the circumstances, chances are high that the money will come to the stock markets.

And what do you think will happen to the stock market when this money comes in?

Today, people feel valuations are high - but the reality is that valuations in India are extremely low. Earnings are depressed because of a lot of factors - banks because of bad loans, pharma companies because of US FDA issues, commodities because of prices being too low, Reliance because of huge investment that hasnt yet started paying off. Even companies that are at decent valuations - like cement and autos will see huge earnings boosts from GST. IT companies are trading at the lowest valuations they have ever traded, but will soon see margin upsides from investments in automation. Today Brexit feels like a dampener for IT, but there will be many system changes necessitated because of Brexit - which will only be known when the final structure of the relationship between Britain and the EU is clarified.

On top of this, there is the consumption pickup because of monsoons and seventh pay commission. The benefits from reforms, lowering of interest rates and improvements in ease of doing business will kick in. Corporate tax decreases that have already been announced but not yet implemented in full will kick in, and that will boost PAT in a big way.

Almost all these factors are already in place, and it is just a matter of time before the impact is seen in earnings. Within the next 12-18 months, we could see a quantum jump in earnings - even a potential doubling of Nifty earnings cannot be ruled out.

Indian corporates are coming off a long and difficult 8 years. They have shed a lot of fat, and tightened the belt. When the environment changes, the impact to bottom line is going to be immediate.

Coming soon - mega bull market in India!!

I'm interested only in the Equity market and the companies which are Shariah Compliant

My cousin holds an investment firm and i take decision by discussing with him.
I also read the news and also go through the recommendations provided by the broker.

I'm glad to have discovered this forum and hope i'll get to learn a lot from the experts

Hi All

Hello TJ

Hello Members!

I have been a Long term investor for last 8 years in EQ, buying on major dips without much TA. Worked well.

With more dedicated time at my hands, have taken interest in FNO/MCX and learning more TA/Strategies etc

I am not surprised that age-old TA/Indicators are still highly appreciated by Guru's on this Forum which I've used but also impressed by newer methodologies being implemented by others, seems like a lot of catching up to do like OFA, MP and advanced s/w like AMI, NT etc
I took time to, a month I think, to go through so many threads/posts and I am genuinely thankful to so many here.

Thanks. :clapping:

Hello TJ

Mutual fund kaa FATCA

Hi

Just learnt about this yet another new authority who is there to collect small tax/cess/surcharge/slice off your investment pie in name of regulating industry that is wholly controlled by obtuse and confusing names anyway

Authority is AMFI http://ift.tt/2b3IpWh

and requires that any person investing in Mutual fund in India make a declaration to Tax authority of United States of America under the act named
Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act

Finvasia offering 100% brokerage free intraday trading

I got call as well email from Finvasia ...they are offering 100% brokerage free trading even for intraday and for ANY segment. I asked them how would they earn money then? Executive explained me that they have raised funds and invested in a trading platform named Scalpert which has almost ALL features a trader would need and they would be charging platform free once rolled out. Their trading platform will be rolled out soon.

The way I see it is that you would still be paying for platform but for high frequency traders like me this seems to a great savings plus technology advantage. I take more than 10 trades a day and this seems good option - neither pay rs.20 or neither pay fixed monthly brokerage.

Disclosure: I already have a account with them. I am sharing this news with traderji members so that all can reap the benefits.

Gold very long term and short term view trader be alert,

Gold if start trading above 1360 in near term and above 1375 by next month clear breakout upto 1434-35 after that next hurdle at 1790 and target for bullish down wedge is $1920. If I take is as flag then target is near $ 2600.

If back from here and breach 1300 then possibly go back to 960 level in long run.

http://ift.tt/2bpRzgB

Short term target if staying above 1360 is 1420 triangle target . Flag target 1483. If breaks 1337 then it will back to flag lower boundary 1317-18 and if that break downside open to 1270-1250 and continue possibly as per monthly charts 960.

International forex, commodities and indexes personal view and trade

Hi guys. From today I am trying to post my trade and views on international market. Earlier I was trading in crude mostly but now a days found Gold more attractive for trading. In index I like to trade dax but now trying to shift dow. I made 500% approx while shorting dax in last 7 months in my nri client account. This month was not good for me in dax but going good in gold. Let see how it goes in future. In Indian market I am not comfortable because less trading hours , less opportunity, usdinr manipulation whenever they want from dgcx even in evening after nse close. I traded alot in forex pairs like gbpjpy and eurousd specially gbpjpy. My all longterm hits but right now I feel scary to trade it. I am happy with gold and dax now a days. Right now alo experimenting binary trading.Let see how much I made in future. One should accept that every expert has several doomed day in his trading career. These are my personal views and I dont want to argue on it. Thanz.:thumb:

Doubt with AFL Code

Dear Community,

I'm very new to amibroker and to afl code as well. I was trying to write an afl code to plot horizontal lines of yesterday's close and today's open for today. I used the following code, though the plot of horizontal line is seen the data is incorrect. Requesting someone to please help me with this.

Doubt with AFL Code

Hello Trade Gurus

Hi, I am Sachin from Mumbai. An engineer by qualification and an IT professional.

I have a investment experience of close to 14 years in stock market. Basically I have been a long term investor and tend to hold to stock till they yield 40-50% ROI.

Lately I have indulged myself in INTRADAY margin trading in stocks. Made a little money with whatever little bit I knew of INTRADAY strategies

I make my trading decisions based on Technical Analysis - 3 months trend, monthly trend, weeks trend, previous day trend and the current trend. I use candle stick analysis to identify right entry into the trade and try to exit at a pre-determined target. I am also planning to venture into NIFTY derivatives.

I discovered this forum on GOOGLE.

CRUDE MINI intra day trades based on 5 min chart

After having a look at charts of Mini Crude since July 2015, I am a bit confident to trade it profitably intraday. Trades based on Pivots and Supertrend combination. Trying my hand with 5 mini lots only. Shall update my diary asap.
As of now using zerodha chart in Pi later may think of metastock. Dont have Ami and also need to learn it from scratch as never even saw it.

I am already trading crude positional 10 mini lots as per EOD chart and was trying my hand at muthu's calls! He is disciplined and follows the rules very strictly. However at times his calls do not seem okay to my novice mind.
Though he SELL at 'resistance' but when mkt remains in a range and slowly comes down and still when we sell at higher level, my feeling is: are we not shorting a rising market?
Muthu has been right more number of times than wrong and knows his strategy well so its not a complaint, just my mind set that does not allow me to SELL when mkt rises after consolidation. I would prefer shorting it only after an up move it again is sideways.... anyways, I hardly have much knowledge about TA but enough to 'follow' others. But trying that small knowledge to trade small quantity!
My main fear is my RR ratio but the same seems to do fine as my win loss ratio is good!
I am trading from today, 16th Aug ! Shall trade only 2 lots today.
