I am starting this new thread on Nifty Future. I will post my real trades here to keep a record what I am doing. Though it is for educational purpose and not an investment idea.
What is the rational behind my trades I will explain that as well, after 50 successful trades (total success - total failures).
About myself, I am a programmer, astrologer and trader, last two were hobbies, since 2005. Of late the last one turned into a secondary source of earning for me. I was in Traderji a decade ago (was doing well in the 2007 bull run, but eventually banned for sharing e-mail address and breaking some moderation rules), looking for a longer stay this time. :D
Declarations: None of my post are investment ideas and I don't mind if you still follow it. I have no professional training on trading only have a decade old experience, blown off my account n number of times but still managed to survive
But (touch wood), off late somehow I see I stopped making losses at least the big one rather making big profits. Not sure if it took me too long to travel the learning curve of trading, but one thing is sure, now on, I am a trader till the day I die. Cheers.
My trading style: I do carry overnight position on NF. I also take intra trades, but those are generally less. And I keep my positional size in such a way that I don't loose my sleep due to my overnight positions on NF.
My trading strategy: Nothing new, but have got some tweaking to suit my temperament. I will let you know I told, after 50 net profitable trade (any trade making more than 12 points till 250 points (or above, unlikely, I close my position here) is profitable for me). Any trade making more than 8 points in lose will be counted as a loosing trade.
I will try to post my entry/exit at the earliest possible time, most of the time before taking the entry for swing (positional) and at least at near time for Intra.
My trading frequency:
Swing/Positional : Max 1 - 2 a week
Intra: Depends, I don't take more than 2 trades a day, and if my first trade yielded good result , I am out of the market for the day till I get rid of the recency effect of the profit. However, I don't trade intra every day, specially if I am carrying any open swing position. I simply sit tight with that.
Last but not the least, I want to take bow to all the seniors here and too all those numerous posts which actually created the learning template for me. Those days were as if someone really holding the hand of a toddler and teaching me to walk.
I am not sure how much I can bring to this board. But I will try not to disappoint you.
